Hollywood Records Drops Disney Star Raven Symone

According to recent reports, Disney’s “That’s So Raven” star Raven Symone has been dropped from the networks’ Hollywood Records.
After signing a two album deal with Hollywood in 2004, Symone, who had fulfilled her contract was dropped from the label that is also home to Miley Cyrus, The Jonas Brothers and Corbin Bleu due to album sales last week.
Symone released her first album on the label in 2004, titled This Is My Time, which sold 237,000 copies in the U.S., followed by a self-titled album which was released this April. The album has sold under 10,000 copies so far according to Teen Hollywood.
Earlier this year Symone shed light on her experiences with “Hollywood Life,” stating "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, except in Hollywood: It's whoever says what is beautiful."
Raven Symone’s latest album featured collaborations with Timbaland and Sean Garrett who she credits for helping her to unleash her inner thoughts including the struggles of being a young woman in Hollywood.

uh maybe her song didn't sell cause nobody knew about it i mean they make such a big deal with miley songs and thats what makes us want to hear it and there not even that good they should have tryed more with her album she was the only one who had a lot a talent
Raven, is an exception! She made Hollywood Records enough money, that they made the best decision. They dont know how to handle a Mega Super Star, they are missing out on the Urban Market and dont really have the know how on what it really takes to sell Raven's Album. We sold more of her indie album then Hollywood Records on her last album. Trust me she is going to be more powerful, now that she has the flexibility to Search for Distribution deals. The album was great, and I don't understand why it didn't / doesn't sell. Maybe it's because they DIDN'T PROMOTED IT. That's the biggest mistake, I guess. If they had promoted the album, I know they'd sell much, much more copies, and Hollywood Records wouldn't had to drop her. Raven has got talent, and we all know that. Personally, I don't want this promotion mistake to scrue up Raven's singing career.
This album was sooooooooooooooo good. It definitely did not belong on a Disney label. Hopefully she can get signed to an independent label.
raven-symone's new album was really great i thought it was the best thus far.. HOLLYWOOD RECORDS never even tried o promote the album, how did they thnk it was going to do, atleast she is out there on tour promoting it. THEY PROMOTED HANNAH MONTANAS, THE JO BROS, y didnt they promote hers, w/e raven will find a much better label.
