Akon Superstar Akon's court hearing for alleged misdemeanor endangerment and harassment charges has been delayed.

The Smack That hitmaker pleaded not guilty to charges of endangering the welfare of a minor and second-degree harassment in November 2007.

The incident occurred in June at Dutchess Stadium in Fishkill, New York.

Audience members at the concert told the Associated Press a spectator lobbed something at the singer and Akon asked the crowd to point out the offender.

A security guard picked out a 15-year-old and sent him up to the stage, where Akon is said to have picked him up onto his shoulders and threw him into the crowd.

The alleged victim's mother, Patricia Smith called the hearing "pretty typical," adding of the latest setback: "People can just hang in there long enough until the case goes in their favor."

Akon could face one year and 15 days in jail if convicted.
