Is Rihanna 2008's Cover Girl Of The Year?

Rihanna sure has covered a lot of magazines ! In just a year the Barbadian beauty has amassed a collection of over 30, that’s right thirty magazine covers including August’s issue of In Style Magazine.

Dating back to August of last year when the “Umbrella” singer graced the cover of Vibe Vixen she showed no signs of slowing down especially since she was sporting the new “Good Girl Gone Bad” image. It’s not an easy feat for a singer to accrue a wall full of magazine covers. Yes, there are those like Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears and Angelina Jolie who seem to be on the newsstand every time you walk by, but Rihanna has certainly pulled off becoming a household name in a short amount of time.

Covering everything from fashion tips, her native Barbados, and health and fitness routine to personal relationships with Jay Z, Ne-Yo and Chris Brown Rihanna has talked about it all. Between February and April of this year alone the “Disturbia” singer appeared on the cover of thirteen magazines in over seven countries including Serbia, Denmark and Germany.

Rihanna is not running out of things to say either, in August she adds two more covers to her growing collection including the recently unveiled issue of InStyle Magazine. In the magazine’s August issue Rihanna talks about her skin tone and how it effected her childhood, she says “Having lighter skin wasn’t a problem in my household, but it was when I went to school – which really confused me at first.” Looking back she goes on to say “The harassment continued to my very last day of elementary school.”

In addition to the upcoming In Style issue, Rihanna is busy prepping for her film debut in “Mama Black Widow” alongside Mos Def, Macy Gray and Kerry Washington.
