Mya’s Weekend 'No Show' Upsets Fans in Barbados

R&B singer Mya found out what happens when you have photos snapped of you on a beach instead of hosting an event just miles away over the weekend that she was booked for.
According to Gossip site MediaTakeout.com and barbadian blogger Islandista, the “Ridin” singer was no where to be found at an event she was to host Saturday in Barbados. Instead the singer was found lounging at the Hilton Hotel which was allegedly paid for by the local tourism authority. The singer reportedly was not feeling up to coming out to the club and opted to relax in her hotel room.
An outraged fan who says the singer’s “no show” was at the height of Crop-Over (carnival) season blogged “Excuse you? So … you feel that this was just an all-expenses paid trip to Barbados just for the heck of it?”
Mya’s representatives have not addressed the situation as of yet. The singer was also slated to debut in Broadway’s “Chicago” in May but was forced to postpone her debut as Velma Kelly due to a broken foot.

mya's myspace has dates for appearances and performances... i didnt see anything about barbados on it. this whole thing about barbados seems to be a rumor.
