R&B singer Ray Lavender has officially joined Lyfe Jennings’ ‘Baby I’m A Star’ Tour. Supporting his upcoming Konvict/Geffen debut, Lavender hit the road Tuesday with plans to open for Jennings throughout the remainder of the month long tour.
As previously reported on Singersroom, Lyfe Jennings’ “Baby I’m A Star” tour kicked off last week in North Carolina with over 20 dates scheduled through the first week of August.
Lavender, who garnered attention last year with the single “My Girl Got A Girlfriend” is now preparing for the release of his debut this fall. "Stay," the lead single from the new album was written by fellow R&B star Tank and is the ultimate ode to women where Ray stresses dedication in a relationship despite the tribulations.
In addition to the tour Lavender is also featured in the latest campaign for Akon’s Konvict clothing line with spots in upcoming issues of XXL, Vibe and GQ.
A video for his single "Stay," directed by Erik White is currently in rotation on BETJ.
