Since her 2004 American Idol win Fantasia Barrino has released two studio albums, appeared on Broadway‘s ‘The Color Purple,’ as well as her own biopic via Lifetime however, according to recent reports, the singer may be looking for new management this week. According to a release obtained by Entertainment Weekly, Fantasia has been dropped from her management contract at 19 Recordings. The management company, owned by American Idol judge Simon Cowell cited “creative differences” for the split. For the R&B singer, this is good and bad news as she like many other American Idol contestants will continue to share profits from her album sales with the company.
The good news for the singer who celebrates a birthday on Monday, June 30th, is her contract with J Records still remains in tact for her third studio album due to be released early next year.
Considering the state of the recording industry Fantasia's albums have done fairly well. Her debut, Free Yourself, sold almost 2 million copies, and the follow-up, 2006's Fantasia, went gold earning the singer three Grammy nominations.
Barrino is also slated to appear as ‘Celie’ in the film adaptation of the Broadway hit ‘The Color Purple’ due in 2009.

Management company is not the same as Record label.
Do people read these days or are just quick to post a news story.
Please read the entire story, she wasn't dropped by her record label, it was her management---19 Management is her MANAGEMENT Company, they let her go, not her record company which is J Records.
She fired 19M once before but rehired them and apparently they didn't see eye to eye since then. Anyhow, your title is very misleading.
