Oprah Tops Forbes Power List, Beyonce and Jay Z Climb Into Top 10

According to Forbes Business Magazine, Oprah Winfrey is still the world’s most powerful celebrity for the fifth time overall.
Winfrey, who topped last years list was selected based upon earnings, internet presence and press, television and radio coverage. According to Forbes the talk show, producer and media queen’s earnings are reported to be near $275 million within the last twelve months.
Elsewhere on the list, superstar golfer Tiger Woods came in at a close second followed by actress Angelina Jolie. Power couple Beyonce and Jay Z also earned their place in the top 10, with Beyonce topping Jay by landing at no.4, Jay Z followed at no.7 just behind David Beckham.
Previous power players Madonna, The Rolling Stones and Elton John have all fallen out of the top 10, as has actor Tom Cruise.

as of 2008 beyonce's net worth is 315 mill. im not surprised she tops her husband because she has more album sales, concert ticket sales, movies, royalties, endorsements with loreal, nintendo ds, samsung, among others. basically girl is paiddddd.

I agree Active. nystar is an idiot. Beyonce is worth more than 100 mill dollars and she made 50 mill last year just off of her tour. If you could read you would know that this list is not just based on money. It's also based on web hits, magazine covers, etc. Beyonce is more famous than Jay-Z so of course she would be ahead of him on this list. nystar you look so dumb right now.SMH

I just reada the Forbes 400. The book. I am trying to figure out how the hell Beyonce got in there. With the addituion of Jay-Z's money? She is not at 100 million yet..so I been trying to figure this out,now I KNOE Mathew Knowles is one ass kicking mutha Manager..the Very Best..I want to know if he paid this time..if they accepted some deal..because I don't see how she could even beat her own husband..somethingi s not right with the numbers.
