Usher Slams Media, Spins Out Of Control On TRL

R&B superstar Usher slammed journalists yesterday while promoting his new album “Here I Stand,” culminating in a what some are calling a “mini-meltdown” on MTV’s TRL.
According to several media outlets the star began the day promoting his new album as normal but became agitated when questioned again and again about his wife Tameka Foster, their alleged divorce papers, and the firing of his mother Jonetta Patton last year causing the singer to fire back insisting that his wife doesn’t deserve to be treated so harshly by the press.
The now 29- year old singer wed Foster last year and welcomed his first child just a few months later. But the Confessions star has been forced to defend his union on several occasions, admitting the backlash his wife has faced from both fans and the media has definitely "affected" him.
He says, "Of course a lot of what I read does affect me. There's been a lot of untrue statements that have come out. One, my wife's age. Two, her name. She's not a Foster, she's a Raymond. I married her." Also, the fact that maybe there was some malicious intent on her part with my family or my mother. There's a lot of transformations that have taken place in my life and unfortunately my wife got a bad beat for it. But I'm very happy. She's not done anything in a negative way other than make me a better man in life. As a father, as a more conscious individual."
Usher’s frustration spun out of control when he co-hosted TRL, at one point the singer raged, “I love my wife very, very much and there has been a little rumor earlier this week about us separating; it ain't true.” In footage captured by an Usher fansite the singer zeros in on the camera “As a matter of fact I'm tired of people continuing to talk so much trash about me, my wife and my mother.” After being interrupted by the regular TRL host who jokes “good night everybody from New York,” Usher continues his rant until the network peels away to a commercial with the star saying “I’m not done, can I say something else.”

okay I just got a whole new view of Usher and I dont know if Im still a fan? I bet you his wife put him up to that one-too funny!
I'm still waiting for the meltdown...Seems to me homeboy was just venting straight like that. A real meltdown situation if he would've shed a tear then pulled out the scat tucked behind that leather bomber and made it rain on them.
I agree with you guys i was waiting to see him yelling and stuff but he handled it cordial he was just talking normal i would be tired too. can the man live he even said that he could have just had a son but he stepped up to the plate. maybe she was the one to slow him down. most young chicks don't have a clue. some people need to take notes for real. he really loves her you can see it or else he wouldn't have even said anything about it.
While what Usher said was true, it wasnt the right time or place to vent like that. That was highly unprofessional of him.

What meltdown!?!? THATS WHATS UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You go Usher!! The man is in love and is doing right by his wife. Critics need to get a life and let this man live. He obviously got a good thing that he not tryna lose. Thats a blessing. If only all women were so lucky. U GO BOY!!!

When will the media realize he is a real person and has feelings too. I mean honestly if he was not a celebrity this would not be an issue. But I guess people will do anything for a dollar. No different than publishing the information here for commentst....
I hope he doesn't say anything else about his wife, mother, son, && that whole situation again. && it's not because I don't like her, but bc that's his life, it's his business, && he doesn't have to defend his PERSONAL life to the PUBLIC. I commend him for standing up && saying "I'm being a man, taking care of my son, && loving my wife like a real man should." But really if that woman makes him happy, is it really our place to judge their relationship. Obviously Tameka's doing something right to make him want to grow into a man && do the right thing.
If I were Usher I would get irritated to if I heard the same damn question over and over again he got a right to get mad he loves his wife thats why he married her, just because he is a celebrity does not mean he can't fall in love and have a family let this black man do his thing OG just ain't in the mood sometimes
