Singer/Songwriter Mario Winans Leads Canada’s Much Music Video Awards

R&B singer/songwriter Mario Winans earned five nominations for his collaboration with rap artist Belly including Best Rap Video and Video of the Year. Chris Brown, Alicia Keys, Fergie, Rihanna and Usher are among those nominated for Best International Artist Video.

Canada’s Much Music Awards is slated to air June 15th. Billed as the nation's hottest awards show the Much Music Awards will be bursting with multiple street-level performances, 6,000 screaming fans lining the streets, 1,800 invited guests inside Much HQ and 1,200 more enjoying a free festival-style show.

Usher, whose album “Here I Stand” hits stores next week, is nominated for Best International Artist Video due to his single “Love In This Club.” The “Moving Mountains” singer will compete with Rihanna’s “Don’t Stop The Music,” Chris Brown’s “Kiss Kiss” feat. T Pain, Alicia Keys “No One,” and Fergie’s “Clumsy.”

Performers and Presenters for the Much Music Video Music Awards will be announced at a later date.

Rock Band, Hedley earned six nominations for their singles “For The Nights I Can’t Remember,” “She’s So Sorry.”
