Rapper Yung Joc Inks New Label Deal, Signs R&B Singer

Yung JocBadboy rapper Yung Joc, who already has two automobile-related companies, as well as a sunglasses line which will be debuting soon called Claudio St. James, has inked a one-off deal through Jive Records, for his new imprint Swagg Team Entertainment

Joc recently put his money where his mouth is by with signing upcoming R&B singer Traeyon, whose as-yet-untitled debut CD is scheduled to be released early 2009.

Rappers come a dime a dozen," Joc explains signing Traeyon. “I wasn’t planning on signing an R&B artist, but it dawned on me that a good vocalist is what the game is missing…Knowing that I am a hard worker, I saw those talents in him when I saw him.”

Traeyon has been setting Atlanta on fire with his debut solo single “V.I.P.” featuring Yung Joc, where Trae croons with heartfelt conviction atop a snap-infused dance track.

The Atlanta rapper's sophomore album, 2007's "Hustlenomics," has sold 197,000 copies in the United States to date, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

    A new genre should be created. It should be called "Autotune Singers". This is NOT R&B. Everyone needs to pull out your parents old 45's and try your best to remember what REAL R&B music sounds like.
