Cassie Eyes September Release For Sophomore Album

According to Billboard, pop/R&B singer Cassie is eyeing a September release for her sophomore album on Bad Boy. The follow up to the “Me & U” singer’s debut album has thus far been linked to producers Brian Michael Cox, Mario Winans and Ryan Leslie with a surprise according to Diddy, who expects the new album to “catch people off guard.”
Cassie’s self titled debut album sold well over 300,000 copies since its release in 2006 according to Nielsen Soundscan and it featured hit singles “Me & U” and “Long Way To Go.”
A new single entitled “Official Girl” produced by Danja is expected to hit the airwaves soon.
