Sean 'Diddy' Combs Escapes Misdemeanor Charges

Hip Hop/R&B producer Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs will not be charged for a misdemeanor that he assaulted an associate at a SoHo nightclub, a spokesperson for the Manhattan district attorney announced yesterday.
“We cannot prove the charge beyond a reasonable doubt,” says spokesperson Barbara Thompson.
Though never arrested, Combs was the subject of weeks of inquiry by prosecutors.
The investigation was triggered by an incident early in the morning Oct. 13 at Kiosk nightclub. Police initially said Combs allegedly punched Acevedo twice.
Thompson said the district attorney could not go forward because of Acevedo changed his story.
