Soul/R&B Singer Chrisette Michele Embarks on Year-End Tour

As R&B singer Chrisette Michele wraps up a busy 2007, the Def Jam crooner plans a year-end headlining tour, as she continues to build steam behind her June debut, "I Am."
Michele worked with various notable R&B producers on her 14-song debut, including John Legend, Will.I.Am, Salaam Remi and Babyface, who collaborated with the young singer on seven of her songs.
"Babyface and I got into a conversation about the love he has for his children," she said in her online bio. "So, the first song I penned was called 'My Joy.' It's a song about a child speaking to his or her father, and I think it's quite special. Observing the artistry that Babyface possesses has hopefully made me a better performer as well."
Although Michele is new to the recording industry, the singer had previous experience as a touring artist before her Def Jam breakthrough, appearing as opening support in the past for artists such as Kem and India.Arie.
"India saw me singing at the Village Underground in New York City. She came backstage that first night and graciously offered me a gig as her opening act."
"I've been creating songs since I was twelve, so I knew I needed the right musical blend in order to stand-out from the many other performers trying to get a deal," she added.

Chrisette is one of my favorite new artist. I absolutely love her CD...it is a breathe of fresh air to my musical soul. Being a singer myself I appreciate that what she has give to us. Chrisette thank you for sharing your beautiful gift and I pray that God continues to bless you in all that you do.
