Solange Knowles Admires Beyonce, But Feels Bad For Her

R&B singer Solange Knowles says she does not want to be as big as her superstar sister Beyonce and she is just fine where she’s at.
"I don't want to get that far," the 21-year-old tells Essence.com in a newly posted interview. "I feel really bad for my sister. I'm always like, 'Oh, let's go to the mall,' or 'Let's go here,' and she can't. I enjoy having that."
In regards to be competing against Beyonce with her upcoming LP Solange & The Hadley Street Dreams, she says "I think that as artists we're totally different, and when my record comes out it will express that."
"But I admire my sister so much," adds Solange. "She's one of my role models in that she is successful and classy. She's very diplomatic and lives her life true to self."
Solange also shoots down some rumors, including the one that she left Daniel Smith, her husband – and father of her nearly 3-year-old son, Daniel Julez – for rapper Lil Wayne.
"That's absolutely not true," she replies. "Yes, we know each other but I absolutely did not leave my husband for him."
Defining her current marital status, Knowles says, "I am no longer married, but I think it's very important not to dish details. We are friends and we co-parent our son. When he gets older I don't want him to read anything about me saying anything about his father or vice versa."
As for the rumor that she's undergone surgery for a new nose, Solange laughs and says, "Not true. I've heard that one, too. That one actually cracked me up. I mean if I got some surgery, I would wait until I’m older and pop out a couple more kids."

Solange you go girl! But I don't believe that u don't want to be as successful as your sister. All you have to do is use your brain and be unique. But I was told that the rule is Noone is allowed to out do beyonce. I believe that is what the real truth behind destinys child. / As for Brittney Anthony the fan. Shut the bleep up. I am a huge Beyonce fan she is my role model..although being a role model for you Solange means much more because you are sisters. I admire the fact that you love your life. A lot of younger siblings would want all that. If you are content with where you are in life and how you are living it then that is what matters. People do things because they want to and they love doing what they are doing. Beyonce has a hunger and a passion for what she does, I have heard her say that so many times. So right now she loves doing what she does. But I am sure there will be a time where she wants to have children and be relaxed where you are at now. As long as you two have love and security in being sisters that is the true meaning. Family comes before everything, and you all are close so that is the best way to live and love life
Solange you go ahead and do what's best for you. Being a parent is a hard job, so I can understand why you wouldn't want to be as big as your sister. It nice to go where you want to go every now and then. Having a big name like your sister Beyonce...she stays so busy that she can't do all the things you can do. As long as you have each other, no matter how big she is, she will always be equal to you because you are sisters forever. People are going to talk, spread rumors and can't get their facts straights. No matter how big your sister name is or who you are, those people who talk about you can never be you...so live your life girl.
