Ruben Studdard Gets Into The Nightlife Business, Singer to Open Club

R&B singer Ruben Studdard is the next of many entertainers to get into the nightlife business. The former American Idol winner brought in Memphis-based developer Performa Entertainment Real Estate to open a hotspot in his hometown of Birmingham, Alabama.
The new club, Ruben’s Club 205, is scheduled to open in the city’s new burgeoning $50 million entertainment district, reports E! Online.
The club will feature a swirl of R&B and gospel music for which the singer is known.
Studdard's third album, The Return, was released in October 2006. The set sold 71,000 copies in its first week to open at #8 on the Billboard 200 album chart.
Studdard appeared on the finale of American Idol season 6 in May 2007.
