It’s long been known Michael Jackson and Queen front man Freddie Mercury had a duet which was kept under wraps…until now. As a part of Queen’s upcoming compilation album Queen Forever, their duet "There Must Be More to Life Than This" has seen the light of day.
Recorded in 1981 and left unfinished, Mercury recorded a stripped-down solo version for his 1985 album Mr. Bad Guy, but recently, producer William Orbit was brought onboard to complete the MJ duet version. "When I first played it in my studio, I opened a trove of delights provided by the greatest of musicians," he said in a statement. "Hearing Michael Jackson's vocals was stirring. So vivid, so cool, and poignant, it was like he was in the studio singing live. With Freddie's vocal solo on the mixing desk, my appreciation for his gift was taken to an even higher level."
Queen Forever will arrive on November 10.
