Ariana Grande has no problem with being compared to Mariah Carey.
"I mean, it's a massive compliment. It would be so silly to be like, 'Ugh, stop saying that!' Like, that's so stupid," Grande told ABC News Radio this week. "You have to look at it as what it is. She's the greatest singer in the world. If somebody says that, I take it as a compliment."
While Grande doesn't mind the comparisons, she is hopeful that people will discover her sound.
"I'm also very excited for people to discover that I have my own sound as well," says Grande.
In related news, Grande is gearing up for the release of her next album, "My Everything."
A sophomore effort, "My Everything" is led by Billboard Hot 100 top 20 charting singles "Problem" and "Break Free."
Grande will perform, in support of her forthcoming release, at this year's MTV Video Music Awards in August.
