The Houston family is heading to Lifetime Television. The network has picked up a new docu-series dubbed 'The Houston Family Chronicles,' that will follow Whitney Houston's closest friends and family members
as they try to pick up the pieces after her untimely death. In the ten episode series, Pat Houston,
Whitney’s sister-in-law, manager and most trusted confidant, manages
the business and estate of the beloved singer and her most prized
possession, her daughter Bobbi Kristina. The show will also include relatives Gary Houston, Whitney's brother, Cissy Houston, Cece Winans and Dionne Warwick.
“I have been working with
Simmons Shelley over the past few years developing a project suitable
for myself and our family,” stated Pat Houston. “The unexpected passing of Whitney
certainly affects the direction of the show. However, it is my hope
that others will be enlightened as they watch our family heal and move
forward.”
'The Houston Family Chronicles' is the second reality TV series to follow members of the Houston family. In 2005, Whitney Houston appear on Bravo's, 'Being Bobby Brown.'
