Rihanna Named 'Sexiest Woman Alive,' Talks Happiness For Chris Brown
Multi-platinum recording artist Rihanna has accomplished another career feat after landing Esquire magazine’s latest ‘Sexiest Woman Alive’ honor. The “Only Girl” hitmaker beat out top celebrities like Beyonce (4th), Esperanza Spalding (5th) and Mila Kunis for the prize in Esquire’s eighth edition of the polling. Previous winners include Angelina Jolie, Charlize Theron and Halle Berry.

Rihanna has been previously recognized for her sex appeal, making Maxim's Hot 100 list every year since 2007, Glamour magazine's 50 Most Glamorous in 2008 and People's 10 Best Dressed in 2008.

On being sexy, Rihanna spoke with the magazine about sex at her shows and what people find sexy.

She states: “At the end of a concert, I don’t feel like I’ve been this sexy thing. Really, I don’t even think about it. Unless it’s a song that really calls for it, like “Skin” or “S&M,” or when I cover “Darling Nikki.” There’s a section that’s called “Sex” in the show, which is the obvious section for sexuality. What I’m saying is, that’s the only part that’s deliberate, you know? Like, really? Honestly, even if it comes across sexual — it has to be a part of my subconscious thought. It’s never deliberate in the rest of the show. I don’t even really… I could see “What’s My Name?” – the dancing is pretty sexy. “Rude Boy.” But I don’t know. I guess people find different things sexy.

Rihanna also opened up to Esquire about resenting ex-boyfriend Chris Brown in the past but says she has put that behind her, insisting she is happy that he found success in music again. She says disliking Brown "was taking up too much of my time" because “"It was too much anger" but now in a good place she maintains: "I'm really excited to see the breakthrough he's had in his career."

The 23-year-old continued: "It's incredible to see how he pulled out the way he did. Even when the world seemed like it was against him, you know? I really like the music he's putting out. I'm a fan of his stuff. I've always been a fan."

She later adds: "I would never wish anything horrible for him. Never. I never have.”

The November issue of Esquire magazine hits newsstands on Oct. 16.
