Lady Gaga Uses Show For Immigration Law Protest

Pop star Lady Gaga is bringing her star power to the forefront to help tackle Arizona’s new Immigration Law. The “Alejandro” singer reportedly tatted the words “STOP SB 1070” on her left arm at a recent sold-out Phoenix concert, telling fans, "we have to actively protest" SB 1070.

During her performance at US Airways Center, Gaga went on an angry outburst against the controversial law that instructs police to check the immigration status of anyone they suspect of being in the country illegally.

Last week, a Federal judge vetoed parts of the law, but Arizona has vowed to appeal.

Gaga also dedicated her song “You and I” to a young boy who told her his brother had been sent back to Mexico. "It's really unfair and it's disgusting," Radar online reports her saying.

Instead of boycotting Arizona like Kanye West and Rage Against the Machine, Gaga plans to continue empowering her fans to actively speak out against the immigration law, calling it a more “forceful” protest.
