Grammy Award winner Alicia Keys is officially putting destiny in her own hands after parting ways with longtime manager Jeff Robinson.
According to a statement released Friday, Robinson will continue to work with the singer, just not in a management capacity. He will instead focus on producing future albums through MBK/J Records.
"This decision will allow Alicia more control over all aspects of her career from singing and songwriting, to leading many business ventures and social causes," the statement read, adding that the decision was "amicable".
Keys will not manage things entirely by herself however as her company, AK Worldwide, will take on touring, licensing and development.
