April 05, 2010, New York City — Who will secure the treasured title of being "The NextDiva?" It’s a debate that's been ongoing among R&B/Pop fans and now Singersroom announces the ultimate contest to declare the winner. The 2010 NextDiva competition officially begins April 5th 2010 and ends April 30th, 2010.

Singersroom's "The NextDiva" Competition highlights twenty-five talented female artists, who has the potential to become a diva, joining other artists like Beyonce, Toni Braxton, Whitney Houston and Jill Scott to name a few.

The NextDiva nominees were chosen based on Style/Fashion, Stage Performance, Personality and Music. The selected artist includes: Adele, Priscilla Renea, Shontelle, VV Brown, Solange Knowles, Nneka, Alexandra Burke, Janelle Monae, Letoya Luckett, K. Michelle, Ciara, Melanie Fiona, Keyshia Cole, Chrisette Michele, Dondria, Fantasia, Karina Pasian, Estelle, JoJo, Laura Izibor, Kelly Rowland, Ledisi, Rihanna, Keri Hilson and Jazmine Sullivan.

How to Vote?

In order to cast your ballot, fans and Singersroom community members can vote by visiting www.Singersroom.com/NextDiva. Participants can vote for their favorite singer once a day by clicking on the artist that they think is ‘‘The NextDiva.’’ The winner will be exclusively announced on Singersroom.com May 5th 2010.
