The New York Daily News reports Def Jam Recordings president Jay-Z, Bad Boy CEO Sean Combs and Interscope chairman Jimmy Iovine all battled to sign 14-year-old R&B singer Karina Pasian. The three hip hop titans had a 10-day high-stakes bidding war to sign the teen described as a cross between Alicia Keyes and Whitney Houston - before Jay-Z dramatically trumped his competitors with a "seven-figure deal."
