Success is normally a life long pursuit for most artists. And it has long been stated that "patience is a virtue". Well, patience along with dedication and perseverance can best describe the persona behind the single that has everyone talking throughout the Midwest. "On The Ocean" by K'Jon so eloquently fits the demeanor of this young man. K'Jon first appeared on the 2Fast 2 Furious Movie/Soundtrack with the song entitled "Miami" in 2004 and has since, waited to share his story of hope, as beautifully expressed not only in the lyrics but also in the production of this incredible and inspirational song.

Up&Up Records would like to re-introduce to the world, musically multi-talented, K'Jon, who was seemingly destined to claim his position among industry greats a few years ago. However, this humble singer/songwriter/producer chose to put family obligations first. Now, as if given a second chance at what seemed destined to begin with, K'Jon has developed a following from Chicago to Los Angeles as "On The Ocean" has swept across the Steppin & Ballroom circuits while gaining more support from various club DJs and radio stations all over the country.

K Jon's debut album, "The Ballroom Xplosion" is reminiscent of the soul once noted for during the Berry Gordy/Motown era. As a Detroit native, he too longs for the return of musical success in the "Motor City" and vows along with fellow producer Kowan "Proteus" Wise and business partner Shon B. to put Detroit "back on the map". K Jon's music caught the attention of Don Huggins and Chuck Arrington who have joined the movement and have gone to great lengths to gain as much exposure for K'Jon to ensure that music lovers abroad get an opportunity to listen to one of the best songs of our time. Also with the addition of new management and several distribution prospects, K'Jon feels that this is just the beginning for his new single which debut at #5 on Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles Sales Chart (09/20/08). Asked of his opinion on why "On The Ocean" has gotten such a positive response, K'Jon says, "I think the song relates to so many people who are hoping for a better situation in life. That "ship coming in" as referred to in the song has many meanings. It's about never giving up!"
