Justin Timberlake was born January 31, 1981 in Memphis, Tennessee. He appeared on the TV talent competition "Star Search" in 1992 at age 11, where he performed country music.
Timberlake landed his first official showbiz-related job on Disney Channel's "The All New Mickey Mouse Club." He starred in the series along with Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and JC Chasez. Timberlake and Chasez would later go on to join the band 'N Sync.
'N Sync got their start in Orlando, FL, in 1996, when Justin and JC teamed up with Lance Bass, Chris Kirkpatrick, and Joey Fatone. The band's self-titled debut album was released in 1998 and sold millions of copies in both the United States and Europe. The songs from this album "I Want You Back" and "Tearing Up My Heart" turned out to be hugely successful. 'N Sync's second album, No Strings Attached, was released on Zomba/Jive Records in 2000 and was even more successful. No Strings Attached went double platinum in only one week, and the singles "Bye Bye Bye" and "This I Promise You" became major hits. 'N Sync's third album, Celebrity, was released in 2001. Since then Justin has been recording purely as a solo artist.
